The Sunshine Coast Mens Vets held the annual golf day in support of junior development on Sunday March 28th which was a huge success. Over 100 players attended the evnt with over $3300 being raised from the day. Congratulations to the organisers, the generous sponsors and to every one who took part. Fixtures Have Started...!!
Fixtures have commenced at Ballinger from 630pm every Monday night. The draw for the year has been posted and the results get uploaded every week (usually Wednesday). We are still investigating the possibilty of a seventh team so team captains please ensure you get in touch with Warren to confirm your current numbers.
The Sunshine Coast Hockey Association Vets competition is open to all players age 35 years and upwards. Players of all standards are welcomed and the Sunshine Coast competition features many former State and Australian players in its ranks. With State and National competitions held each year, the Veterans competition continues to grow in strength.
Registration is formalised via a number of formats with each requiring fees to Hockey Queensland to cover insurance requirements.
The Men’s Vets competition is played every Monday night with six teams competing in a season format. Three games are played; 6.30pm, 7.40pm & 9.00pm. Times are rotated each week so that all teams enjoy the early slot on a regular basis. Players are welcomed for all teams. The season commences at the same time as the scheduled association season.
All games are played on the water based turf field under lights at headquarters, Ballinger Rd, Buderim.
