Golf Day 2010
The Sunshine Coast Mens Vets will again be holding a golf day in support of junior development. This year the event will be held at the Caloundra Golf Club on Sunday 28th March commencing at 12.30pm. We will again be having teams of 4 with a shotgun start – 4 ball ambrose. Cost is $40 a head. Start getting your friends/teammates together to organize your team or please let us know that you would like to play and we can slot you into one of the teams. Season Meeting
I guess it time to start thinking about 2010 season, thought maybe a meeting at clubhouse Monday 8th February to discuss season. 6.30pm

The Golf Day Winners 2009:
Overall team winner: TEAM ! (Andre Antony, Barry Mott, Bob Rowley, Chris O'Dempsey) on a countback from TEAM 8 (Michael Butler, Cameron Howes, Paul Greencastle, Jeff Lancaster). Team 1 had six birdies on the back nine against two from Team 8.
Coveted 'Most Use of Course" Trophy: TEAM 2 (Ingrid Flower, Sue Andrews, Jan Jago, Angel O'Dempsey) They are the proud holders of the perpetual trophy.
The 18 individual holes all had prizes (except the betting hole). No one person could win more than one.

Hole 9: Longest drive Tod White
Hole 10: Betting hole.. thanks for the donations!! (No one within either circle)
Hole 11: 3rd shot Dean McKeown
Hole 12: NTP Evan Henderson
Hole 13: Shortest drive past marker Dave Shield (Biggest player in the field!!)

Hole 15: Mystery hole NOT the ladies.. most shots team 10! (Anton Dekens cohorts)

FOOTNOTE: The handicapper has kept all cards and noted all handicapps lodgeg for reference in next years event. Expect some bushrangers to have a few chains added to their ankles and a few shots deducted!! |
